My new B3K came in the mail today. Needless to say, I was pretty excited to plug in and try it out. I plugged in, and it was everything I thought it would be. That is, until I really cranked the gain and the blend.
I realize that some background noise is normal, but the hum that it started producing was loud enough that it created noticeable dissonance with whatever I would play. I loved the tone I was getting, but the noise interfered with whatever I was playing.
If it helps, I played the following basses through a Behringer BX4500H into an Eden 15 and a Hartke 410 (not simultaneously): Peavey Grind 5, Ibanez SR375F, Musicman Stingray, and an MIM Fender Jazz. None of my equipment has ever given me any trouble like this, even with other OD/Distortion pedals.
My question is what can I do to stop this noise? I really dig the pedal, but the hum is too much of a nuisance.......
