Darkglass B7K Ultra vs B3K + Harmonic booster

Greetings from Italy,
I already own a Darkglass B3K, but I need a preamp to shape the signal for both clean and dirty.

I have 2 alternatives:
1) sell B3K and purchase the B7K Ultra V2
2) buy the Harmonic Booster and put it before my B3K.

I dig the extra DI output and the cab simulator on the B7K Ultra, however I am worried the eq shaping of the B7KU might work either with clean or dirt and not with both of the sounds...

Also, if I put the B7K Ultra last in the chain for the DI the modulation effects would be before the pre and the overdrive, and I am not sure how they'd sound.

I am in a hard spot! Any suggestion? Unfortunately shops were I live don't carry Darkglass, and also the lockdown make me impossibile to travel anywhere to try it.

I would get the Harmonic Booster. While I love my B7k ultra and the cab sim etc. I either use it full on or full off. I find it trickier to dial in a clean sound and a dirty sound I love on it.

You could add a two notes cab m or an Omni cab sim or Mooer Radar down the line for a cab sim with DI and then stick your modulation fx where you want in the chain.

The EQ in the B7K is after the drive circuit. You would want the Harmonic Booster after the B3K to cop that sound. Probably keep the color control at minimum to avoid stacking those mid notches.

but tecnically speaking stacking B3K before the Harmonic Booster should be the same as the B7K ultra?
I mean, if the Harmonic Booster do not color the tone is just an eq, right?

I think "same" is a stretch. I think you might be able to boost frequencies in a similar way but you'll have 3 bands instead of 4 with the benefit of picking the mid frequency you want. I don't believe the treble and bass frequencies are the same on the HB and B7K. The only way to know would be to try it. I wouldn't consider a B3K/HB to be a direct substitute for a B7K though.
