Darkglass into a tube amp

I've seen a lot of people sing the praises of the B3k & B7k. The YouTube videos are awesome, too. My problem is that they don't always tell you the kind of bass or amp being used. How often is this pedal being used with:

solid state vs tube power
& also
active bass vs passive bass

I'm thinking of getting one or the other for our studio & also for 2 bands I'm in with a friend. We'd only need one as I play bass in 1 & he plays bass in the other. We both play 300 watt tube amps & both use vintage passive basses.

Also, I'm asking this because the VT Bass pedal ended up sounded like garbage in my rig because it wasn't solid state & that pedal was noisy, hot, and out of control. I don't want a Darkglass if it's not going to be usable in front of a tube amp or if I won't be able to get the clang, grit & attack if I DON'T use an active bass.

i have an svt3pro and a fender jazz bass with passive pickups. it's not a full tube amp i know, but i don't find it to be noisy at all, and it's easy to dial in the grit and attack. i have found that the video of wil davies testing the b7k is very similar to the sounds i am able to dial in with my setup, though i think he uses and orange head. the b7k definitely is not hot or out of control in a literal way, i'd recommend it to you definitely. watch the video below again (no doubt you have already) because that's what convinced me and i haven't looked back!

Will the B3K get the same sound? I too would like to drive my tube amp at lower volume levels. I know there are other options, but dang that Darkglass pedal sounds sweet.

B3K may not get the same sounds since it does not have an EQ on it NFA.
I can't answer, when I had a B3K I had a Hybrid head. Now I don't a B3K but I do have a couple of tube heads.

Probably thinking of going with the 7. It's DI & dual output give it a lot of flexibility on complicated boards. I quite like the idea of my POG & delay going clean while my tremolos & synths go thru dirty. Yummy thoughts all sticky with effects.

Of note, I believe the DI only works if the pedal is on.
