So I just got back from his concert at the hollywood bowl,
AND I HAD A TEN MINUTE CONVERSATION WITH HIM BACKSTAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we talked about how he wrote his music, (he uses logic at a sequencer and finale to write the parts)

Saw his Quintet in Harvard Square last winter....Amazing show! I got to meet him and the band after as well....really nice, laid back group of musicians.

Having never come across Dave Holland before (please don't call me ignorant, although having just read that he played with Miles Davis I clearly am) but I wonder if he could be some distant relation of mine. My surname is Holland and the family is from the same kind of area ha!
For no reason other than that I will now give a listen to his music!
