I've heard about these things. Pushic seems to know what he's doing. His instruments are beautiful, his cutaways are clear (a good indicator to me of someone who actually knows something), and his prices seem reasonable for his philosophy. Does anybody have some experience with these?

I suggest you do a search on Pushic and read the threads. Reviews are "mixed" to say the least. I would bear one thing in mind in life - "you get what you pay for".

Buy a Lakland Skyline instead. Slightly cheaper, infinitely better quality, and with the new Lakland pickups nothing can touch these for the price.

I know from experience as I was BURNED to the tune of $1,400. :mad:

I rec'd the bass after over 1 year with a laundry list of problems that were 'corrected'. I was lucky to dump it on eBay for $800 immediately after.

What a POS. Bad fret work, bad bridge, bad everything. What a hack. Even the finish was crap. It looked like a high school wood shop project.

DON'T DO IT.

I agree with Mark, you should definitely do a search, and then make your decision. Reviews of his work recently haven't been nearly as rocky as they were a few years ago, which could mean he's improving, but it might also show that people are going into projects with him with lower expectations.

Why does he cut the heads off most of the bass photos? Man, if I were building boutique basses and I was expecting to sell them I would want people to see every inch of them so they could make a reasonably intelligent decision! For all I know some of those photos could be of other builder's basses.

He may do nice work, but if posting incomplete photos is OK from his perspective, I wonder what shortcuts are acceptable when it comes to making the basses? I'm not in the market to buy, but if I were, what I saw on his web site would not compel me to do so.
