David Eden D210-XLT + Epifani PS-210

Hey there,
I'm planning on buying David Eden D210-XLT and Epifani PS-210. Cabs would be hooked to Hartke LH-500.
What do you guys think about such rig?
Both cabs are used and very reasonably priced, so please, don't suggest any other stuff, I just want to know if this exact gear is gonna work well. ;)

The trouble is that both of those cabs have a specific voice, and the only one that can judge if they sound good together to you, is you.

I usually encourage people to find one stand alone cab that they like the sound of, then add a second. That way they know for certain that the extra cab is what they are looking for.

I wouldn't say not to buy one or the other - especially if they are in good condition and you can get a good deal on one or the other. Both are nice cabs.
Just that if you are going to try to use both together, the pairing of the two may not work well. Or they may work well. It's a crapshoot.

I have an LH500 and a PS210 and they sound very good together.
It's a nice cab for a more classic tone, but you can put upper mids and treble in it too, if you want a more modern tone. I wanted to get a second PS210 but haven't been able to find one for a year, so I finally just got a PS115 and they sound great together.

I don't know what the Eden would sound like with it, but maybe the thing to do would be to get the Epifani, and bring your amp and cab and an extra speaker cable and demo the three together. If the distance makes this impossible, buy the PS210. It sounds good for jazz, rock, blues and sounds good with a jazz bass, p bass, and custom bass with active pickups. It also sounds really good with a Genz Benz Shuttle, so it isn't just a one head pony. We had this at a small restaurant club the other night. I didn't play it, but a really great 22 year old bassist played jazz with it all night, and he begged me to stay til the end of the night, so he could use the cabs together all night (I did).


Like the others said mixing brands and sizes is a crap shoot. I realize I mixed sizes but in the same series cab, and several good bass players have had this combo already and told me it sounded good.
