I am happy to see two great players, who helped me fall in love with the bass guitar, get some recognition.

I remember Change, they filled the same niche as cats like Frankie Beverly and Maze for chill R&B for me, especially after Luther.
Paradise is insane!! I need to know what effects Davide was using. My band is planning to play a few Change tunes!!
I have an octave pedal. I think it's more of a flanger. I have a couple Zoom pedals. I'll see if they have that sound or close to it.It was back in the early Eighties, so he used a phase shifter or flanger. You could probably get that with an octave pedal.
I listened again twice and I feel pretty certain he is using a phase shifter or flanger. I think he using or his too along a pluck for certain parts. The octave pedal could be cool, but it would not be the same sound.
