Hi all,
I'm a long time TB'er, but this is my first serious foray into the wonderful land of DB. I'm moving to Iowa City, IA in a few months, and am considering picking up the upright. Any suggestions for teachers?
A bit about me: I played cello for 8 years (haven't played for about 10 years...), and have played electric bass for 13 years. I'm mostly interested in country, bluegrass, rockabilly, blues, etc but have played jazz in the past and may play it again at some point in the future. I mostly want to learn pizz, but certainly understand that arco is an essential piece of the puzzle. I know plenty of theory; I just want to make sure I develop good technique and don't hurt myself.
Thanks!
