Dean Edge 09 Bass Upgrade

Did some upgrades to my Dean Edge 09. I installed an EMG-HZ 40 which fits perfectly and has a good sound. I also installed shark fins inlay decals. This is my first bass so I decided instead of selling it I upgraded, nice beginners bass.

Isn't the 40HZ a five string pickup? I just wondered if it worked well for 4 string.
