Double Bass Dean EUB - String pop/snap noise

Oh, I see.
It's the older model.
Well, I'd personally unmount the bridge and look under, but I can understand you wouldn't want to do that.
I'm not sure there's enough space to mount classic magnetic pickups between the fingerboard and bridge.
Putting a small piezo on the bridge with putty could possibly work, or no.

A piezo pickup has response way into the subsonic range. It's common to hear thumping noises as you pluck strings. If you are playing aggressively, any "clacking" of the strings will be amplified. Is it passive? I have gotten weird noises coming out of piezo equipped basses when the battery was going dead. If it's a sharp sound, I would suspect the pickup is faulty as Francois has suggested. Can you upload an audio file?

After emailing Dean, I found out each saddle on the bridge is a piezo pickup. So I need to check if it is just one string or more than one making noise. Unfortunately, my bass is at my church and I will not be going there until Sunday. I'll keep y'all posted.
