Hi, folks. I found dean Edge passive with EMG pickups and 5 piece neck. The headstock is OLD style with very pronounced V notch. ANyone knows anything about it. Seller is asking 200 for it. Worth it? How would it compare to lets say Schecter C4. Which has SAME pickups but with pre amp and same 5 piece neck?
I seem to recall you poo-pooing a previous Dean you purchased and vowing to never buy another one?
I love the EMG pups, but more so on one with an active preamp.

The bass you're looking at is 19 to 20 years old too.
I have since purchased a Dean Edge 1 PJ mahogany. SOmeone gave me an offer I can't refuse 150 shipped and agreed to take it back if there is any problems. A display model. Bass ended up being PERFECT. It is getting a Hip shot style WASHBURN bridge and Entwistle set of pickups

I sanded the translucent black/brown paint off, stained it, and am going to attempt a gloss nitro finish on the body. I’m pretty happy with it even though the wood isn’t perfect. I was gonna do gloss black but I like looking at the natural wood.
Refinishing....I’m learning. This is my first attempt at doing a nitro finish as well as a clear finish. Note the red epoxy or bondo-type filler on the body.
