Really sweet Dearmond Starfire bass. These have gotten hard to find, and this one is in fantastic shape. Very very few flaws on this one: a couple small dings, the usual clear coat scuffs and swirls, and the wiring retainers have lost their stickiness. That's it. Nice low action (E string is set at 3/32" at the 12th fret) and plays and sounds great. Color is trains red, and you can see a couple of small knots in the wood, but it's so deep and uniform that it almost looks red-red. Comes in the padded Guild gig bag pictured (a little dusty but fully functional and not beaten too badly...) All ready for you to go buy some Novak pickups and make it into a killer Dark Star axe.

    SOLD

PayPal ok, discounts for local pickup, cash payment, and/or West Coast shipping.

I'm really looking to sell to fund the purchase of a URB, but send me a PM and we'll see. I'm partial to old G&Ls, Casady basses, tube amps (guitar or bass). Also looking for a cool US Tele or Strat too....

Scale is 30.75" from what I can find on the interwebz.

  4. Believe him he's Da Duke: "make it into a killer Dark Star axe" then it would look like this but in racing red!
    Mine sports Freddies.

@svtbass that is pretty sweet - looks like one I had a long time ago....

  6. Probably is the same one- it recently came from LA.

Is it this one perhaps? (formerly a Sean Hurley bass?)

If so, small world, eh?....it's been here at the Templar Bass Ranch for a while now.

Yep, I had that one, Jack. Bought it from Mr. Hurley.
