Death By Audio -- Fuzz War

I suspect the wiring is a little sloppy due to how laid back they are, as the fuzz movie shows

I had the DBA Interstellar bass overdriver for a while and I found no concerns with the wiring, it was a very nice pedal.

Fuzz money? Thats a pretty good term.

Why thank you! But that is what it is, I've been giving my self a allowance on what I spend on gear................. after I spent almost 3k on amps last year I thought I reign in on spending, and I like fuzzes [I have 15 I think] and I'm trying to find "the" one:bawl:

But... has anybody got a sound file for this fuzz on bass???

I am drooling....
Will get it within this week and will post something after one month.

Please please be gentle, need to hear that.

Only heard it in a TWDY video.

Ciao,
Sergio

I have been playing bass for 19 years & own 10 fuzz/distortion pedals. I purchased a DBA Fuzz War around a year and a half ago & love it! I wanted something that I could use live on bass so I would not have to take my old green Big Muff out of the studio. It covers the settings I would use on the Muff as well as some similar to on Beastie Boys "Sabotage" which I heard is a Superfuzz but not sure. The Fuzz War also has a lifetime warranty (perfect for gigging/abuse) which the Soviet Green Big Muff does not. I have had no issues that require the warranty though.
On guitar it sounds pretty killer too! Very full/thick fuzz but you can still make out the notes of the chord that are played. If you want a thick tone definitely have your guitar volume knobs turned up. Like the site says it has an internal drive control, that needed to be turned upon getting it to adjust the amt of fuzz. That being said I do not think DBA would put an internal drive in a pedal & recommend you to open the back/adjust the control if there is sloppy workmanship inside. The inside of my Fuzz War was tip top as far as components/wiring. The Fuzz War definitely made the Axis Fuzz & others sound thin in comparison.
