Decent rig?

hey guys, this is Jp, new to talk bass and I had a question for you guys. I'm looking to upgrade my setup for mainly alternative to even indie rock, with a very present bass tone. Currently I have a fender American standard j bass with a couple of essential pedals running through a gk mb. I definitely want to go with the Ampeg svt 2 pro but I'm still thinking between cabs and preamps. I think for the cabs I've narrowed it down to these 2

Ampeg svt 610hlf
Mesa ph610

Also had questions about a preamp. Since my bass isn't active, I really need a nice shaping preamp that both gives me the boost I need and the compression. Been hearing great things about ua la610. Looking for that type of rack mounted preamp for live as well as recording. But I don't know if it's overkill to go with such a powerful head and a preamp. If anyone has some advice or insight, feel free to comment! Thanks!
