Decided on the GB STL 900, Cab ?

Holy crap, I spent like 5 minutes with my '66 and the Streamliner and it sounded great. You could not go wrong with a fEarful cab with a Streamliner, IMHO.

It was not difficult to dial in some old school booty with my Stingray HS.

My advice would be to look for a mid forward cab. The streamliner has low end for days, but in my experience gigging it a ton it lacks mid clarity and articulation in general. Paired with the right cab I'm sure it will cut like a hot knife though- berg hd 410 not so much.

If you have the cash, two of the Baer ML112's or the upcoming Baer ML212 KILLS with that head. You will get a lot of that warm, punchy, tone that you like with the Fridge, with more true low end, at a fraction of the size and weight. Amazing combination with the Streamliner900

+1 This. If you don't have that kind of cash I'd look at the GK Neo II line or the Genz Focus line. IMO

Agreed 100% - although a 5751 in V1 greatly improved the mid clarity and articulation on mine...

Who can blame you? It's still THE big cab as far as I'm concerned.

It's OK - but if one is looking for alot of low end, volume, and clear highs, there are much better choices than the SVT810e, IMO... I've owned atleast 3 of them, and probably played thru close to 100 of them...

I haven't had a chance to play mine thru any of those, but have some experience with all 3 - IMO, it would work quite well with both 412 cabs, since they're a bit mid voiced, and fairly articulate... IME, the PH1000 is naturally a little muddy sounding - I don't think it would pair all that well with a Streamliner...

Part 3 Mesaboogie U tube video states their 810 has scooped mids. Wouldn't this make it a bad choice for the STM-900 vs the Ampeg 810? Their 412 is interesting however?

I've never had any trouble getting more than enough mids out of my PH810, and my Streamliner 900 works quite well with it... I haven't had the opportunity to play the Streamliner thru a PH412, but have played the 412 a few times and will make an educated guess that they would pair up well...

To be honest, I think you should just go ahead and get an Ampeg 810 - you seem like you've got your mind made up on that already...

Just for grins if you have a GB dealer in your area, try the Uber cabs. I had a 212, the 410 is also a killer cab. They seem to be really well tuned to the STL's characteristics.
