Deep Sixx pickups

Hello everyone, I've searched the forum but haven't find anything specific about those pickups. What do you think about them? Are they any better than a normal Tbird pickup that make them work better without knobs or they would be better on a bass with volume and tone control?

I had a early Epiphone version of the Blackbird, I ended up replacing the kill switch with a 3 way selector. I had a regular Epi Tbird I wired the pups straight to the jack sounded just like the Blackbird.
