Wondering what a side order of J adds to the classic dish, La Bellas on a P-bass.

Wondering if it's a nice alternative to have on hand, or if the squirt of J just messes with the magic.

I'm eagerly hoping to be convinced that it's the former.

If you like PJ basses and you like La Bellas I can't imagine what could possibly be the down side, as far as relationship between the pickup and the strings goes.

Seems to me a chicken vs. egg question, but there's only one way you can positively find your answer.

Prefer PJ bass tone strung with 9050L or EB group flat IV.

Never played the la Bellas but I loved my PJ with chromes and Fender 9050. Mellows out the PJ in all the right places!

nothing's wrong with DTFs on a PJ. some folks use DTFs on Jazz basses, so really no problem here.

Well lol it'll sound like a P bass with flats. You can blend the J bridge in as you like.
