Delano pickups experience?

Hello There guys, I wanna ask you all does any one of you had an experience with Delano pickups? On my bass I installed an Delano PC 4 HE/M2 reversed P neck position and JC 4 HE/M2 J bridge position both they are passive. When I plugged and hear them directly into my amp without any EQ, compressors, effects etc. yes they really sound bright and fresh, but one thing that I notice when I hear and compare them with the sound of my other bass is that these pickups they have a quet low output signal, can anyone tell me did they really have an low output signal or not, and what is your experience with Delano pickups?

Thank you.

Had 2 pair. Liked them, but definitely a subtler, more hi end sound than most. Didn’t like them w any preamp but their own. Noticeable absence of “slam”, but pretty good all around. My Maruszczyk Frog and Marleaux both used them and I never bonded with them them, although the basses are great and so are the electrics.

sort of an expensive experiment. If I did more newer jazz, maybe. Try before you buy, especially if you’re a rocker.

Pickup height? There should only be a few mm between the pickups and the strings. More than that and you lose output.

I love my Delanos.
