How do I delete my account on this website?
I'm getting far too many spam emails, and I don't want to be on this site anymore

I don't get any spam from here. I only get emails when someone sends me a private message. You can change your email notifications to eliminate all of the emails you don't want. You don't need to leave in order to stop getting those.

You might try the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page. The one with the closed envelope, not the open one.

I think you're getting them from somewhere else. Many online retailers sell your information. I've been here for years and I don't think I can attribute any emails to TB.

You are her forever. Just check your settings. I have never received any sort of spam. Only naked pictures of women I don't know.

21 years on TB and I never got a single spam email.

As others have said, I think its in the settings. Turning off email settings is all that has to be done... but wow, I just went looking for how to do that, and they certainly don't make it easy (though I'm sure that's unintentional).

You have to hover over your user name in the upper right hand corner >>> click "preferences" >>> and then under "options," uncheck all the boxes that say "and receive email notifications."

The simple thing would be to have it under alerts, but yeah... its as tricky as using the save function to delete a saved post that hasn't been posted .

I love Talkbass, but it ain't quite perfect. Yet.
