Dennis Dunaway-The reason I started playing bass! One listen to "Gutter Cat Vs. The Jets" at age 13 was all it took. He had his s**t together, and as much as I don't particularly like Fender P-Basses, I would love to own the silver sparkle one he used in the day.

Don't know that I've ever seen him with a P bass, here he is with the Jazz. I saw the EB-3 in a Rock and Roll guitar exhibit that came around last year.

That's a P-J bass w/ a Jazz neck, no?
I recall DD using a Jazz back in the day (sparkle front like above...or is it the same bass?) & the Gibson EB-3 bass (see back cover of Love It To Death).

Maybe mentioned earlier, but in reading Mike Bruce's No More Mr. Nice Guy...DD was the leader of the earlier group. DD's background in avant garde art was a big piece to how the group did their business. IIRC, as Alice grew into the "lead" role, DD took more of a backseat.
