Once again, TBers, I rely upon your technical expertise to produce what my mind can conjure, but my abilities can't develop.
The premise:
As a pseudo-serious gift for my wife, I've played her a song. You see, unlike many here, I'm not truly a multi-instrumentalist. I'm fine on the piano, but I'm really just a bassplayer. I've never played guitar in my life, I don't/can't sing, and certainly cannot tackle the drums. So as a pseudo-joke, but wanting to do something funny and nice, I decided to record The Cure's "Love Song" for m'lady. I played all tracks, (sans drums, there just wasn't enough time for me to learn, nor was there a place to learn w/o the lady getting suspicious). So, my buddy played drums, and I sang, did backup vocals, played guitar, bass and keyboards, recording "Love Song." It's funny. Truly. Yet endiring. I'm so charming. I'll add a link to it as soon as the final product is mixed.
Well, to complete the package, my buddy and I, (who played drums and mixed/recorded the song), shot "studio" footage, and took miscellaneous still photos, which will make up a music video. (Isn't it amazing what you can do with modern technology?!). I want to design and print an original CD insert for the case and presentation, but technically don't know how.
Here's the idea:
The cover is an original piece of art, by my friend. Fine, no problem. The inside two pages will be a mosaic of still photos taken during the recording, along with text, (liner notes, etc.). The back cover is another piece of art work, or photo, still undecided, with the track listing. (There's just one track).
How do I go about doing that on my PC? I have photoshop. Can anyone help me set the dimensions for the file, and give me some pointers.
Very much appreciated.
