what do you guys think about doing this to the neck

if you are goign to do that to the neck why not bipass the wait time and just buy that exact bass from the groove shop...

of the 3 choices you showed though i liek the rosewood top.

I had a real nice 5 with an ebony top and ebony headstock overlay. Maple neck and black blocks and binding. That was my fave Fodera of the 4 I owned. YUM!!

If you want a rosewood top like the one you pictured, you'll need to make sure to mention that you want rosewood with lots of sapwood. Otherwise you'll probably receive an all brown bass.

That would be very anti-climactic.....

i think that Fodera pictured with all the sapwood had a katolax top, i remember when i asked David Beasley about it he said it was just a complete one off.

You should also concider Kingwood for fingerboard! It's bit softer than rosewood I believe..

I have Monarch with Magohany and Kingwood and that's a nice combo!

my emporer has a kingwood board, it is a real nice wood, i think it is a little bit harder to get hold of at the moment but it is real nice sounding and has great grain and texture.
