Selling my Devon PJ5. This is a killer bass for a fantastic price. I am selling because I have my eyes on a particular bass that is pretty pricey so in order to buy it I have to sell a couple instruments that I really like and this is one of them.
It has a swamp ash body (weighs right around 9 lbs) with a Sapele top, maple neck and a rosewood fretboard. It has a Aguilar OBP-3 preamp and originally had bart pups in it but I recently swapped them for EMG's. The barts sounded great but were too warm and mellow for the type of music I play which is modern rock. The EMG's sound incredible but I will ship the bass with the barts as well and the control plate that was in it when I bought it. It had an active passive switch and a mid frequency switch in it which means 2 switch holes. With the EMG's I only needed the one hole for the mid switch so I bought a new control plate. If the new owner wants to put the barts back in with the active/passive option the control plate is ready to go with the volume and blend knob still in it. It is in excellent condition. It has a couple minor indents that are consistent with an oil finish but they are very minor and the bass is gorgeous in person. The original owner routed a little edge out of the control cavity to make room for the active passive switch but it is completely hidden under the control cavity.

35" scale
19mm spacing
9lbs
1.8” nut

The first couple photos show the EMG's and the other ones with the Barts are from the original owner.

No trades as I am collecting funds. Will ship in a protec contego gig bag.
Selling for $1750 shipped in North America.

You won’t find a better bass than Devon basses. I’ve owned 30-40 basses in the $2500-$6500 price range and nothing equals the total package of my Devon’s.

It's true. For the money (or any price for that matter) these bass's are hard to beat.

Scale, exact weight, nut width, string spacing at the bridge, control configuration if possible? Sorry I know these questions are redundant but useful to prospective buyers:thumbsup:
