Thanks for the responses guys, sorry I didn't respond until now, my son brought home something from daycare that really kicked my ass.
With the options you guys all gave me, I have some thinking to do. But I think I'm leaning towards getting a lightweight cab and a head. I was exploring combo amp options but a lot of them seem a bit heavy for something I'd be hauling back and forth occasionally. As for a powered PA speaker, I don't know if I was looking at the right ones but for the price, I think I'd rather get into a cab + head.
