As bass players we are all influenced by drums and percussion, and well we should after all that where it all started. Larry Graham the God Father of Slap developed his style when trying to cover for the loss of a drummer. Even on upright bass the Slap style was to add a percussive element to bass parts and solos that originated in bands with out drummers.
