Did Wal ever make an eb3???

Just found an eb3 with a wal type pickguard. No name on headstock and the headstock doesn't appear to be a gibson. Anyone know what it is?

They tell me it's a 1968 gibson eb3 but I couldnt find any pictures that came close .

I don't believe so; but that being said I have seen the first Wal bass made in person, and it did resemble that shape, ALOT.

Looks like an old Japanese made copy to me.
