Difference between Fender Squire Series and Squire by Fender

Hey all,
Looking at a 94-95 (according to serial #) Fender Jazz in really good condition. Headstock says Fender Jazz Bass Made in Mexico. In very small lettering it says Squier Series. Is this any different in build specs than just a Squier Jazz Bass? Should price be equivalent to a Squier Jazz Bass?
