just wondering about the fulltone bassdrive..
in one of the bands ive recently joined, playing keys instead of bass, the bassist uses a fulltone bassdrive and its dawned on me that i effing love the sound of that pedal.. way more than the overdrive i use when playing bass.
from reading a few posts about the bassdrive, its obvious im not the only one, but whats not so obvious to me are that there seem to have been a few different versions of the pedal before it was discontinued, with different characteristics.. that seems to be reflected in prices i've seen too, like seen a couple recently go for $100-150, but then ebay shows several going for $250-350?
could someone school me on the history and general consensus on the versions of this pedal? what are the diffs pre-mosfet and mosfet, what sounds better and are there other differences to look for? am i right in assuming that the earlier ones which were hand made fetch much more and sound a lil better than the latter 'mosfet' versions that were not handmade?
