I just got me one of them Dillion bass's,
I know Ric's are sacred and I played one for 10 years
night,I owned the Ric for a year and picked it up a few
times,After a year I started to play it a bit and finally
it started to feel right.
I played it almost every night for 10 years,
after this time nothing else felt right,I went back to the
P-bass because the design of the Ric caused carpal tunnel.
this can be rectified by putting a 6 inch piece of
pipe insulation on the edge, anyway I been playing Hofners
for 10 years and currently own 3.I do use other bass's
I also own an LTD EC(looks like a Les Paul)also Epi
Thunderbird but this Dillion is very close to the Ric,I might
say I like it better the pickup is a little different though. The Dillion has a beveled edge so no need for the foam.I dont get to wrapped up with opinions,I love my instruments and they are working quite a bit,I just wanted to give the Dillion a plug because I think it is a good deal.I traded my P-bass for the Thunderbird, how many of you bassists feel the need to always own a Fender bass?I just like to always have a Fender and go from P to J all the time but I give the slight edge to the J.Its just my opinion. So know I am looking for a Fender,Dillion makes quite a jazz copy, maybe I will go take a look
