DiMarzio Area P/J set

testing ma new Area pickups .
quick test: 4 parts , A,B,C & lead . A is the P pickup only for 8 bars or so , B part is both pickups for 8 bars or so , last part is J pickup only . The lead is the J only with a wee bit of chorus , 'verb & delay .

Thanks Fellas ! Glad you like it . The pups are dead quiet as well but still have a nice organic tone . So Far every DiMarzio pickup I've bought has been fantastic .:bassist: I would not hesitate to buy just the p if / when I need another one .

as far as i can tell, the Area P (which isn't even on their website) is a straight-up vintage P pickup, only with alnico II magnets.

i can guess that the weaker magnet reduces the punch and output a little, maybe so it'll be a better output match for the J bridge pickup?

i have put together P/J sets with other nice vintage P pickups like the fender original 62 or the duncan vintage, paired with the dimarzio area J, and that sounds really good.

strange it isn't on their site but it is available . I really kinda fell in love with this p p/u over the weekend so I'm gonna put one in a P and see :D
