Dimarzio Model P(DP122) Wiring?

I bought a Dimarzio Model P.
When I looked for the wiring diagram to install it, I found that there was not much information.

Firstly, I planed to wire it like a typical P pickup : 250K Volume and Tone pot, .047uF cap.
But this is what the official website of DiMarzio says :500K Volume and 250K Tone pot, .033uF cap.

I'm sure it'll work either way, but I'm curious about the difference in each wiring diagram.
I wonder which one goes well with this pickup.

IF you want the most brightness use two 500k Ohm pots.
IF when you roll back the treble cut all the way with a 47 nF cap & it's too muddy, the 33 nF might suit you better.

Thank you for your answer. I wanted to hear the empirical opinions of people who have wired this pickup for various parts values.

I'm also thinking about implementing both versions with push pull pots. If there is no change when the switch is operated, I think it would be better to wire to the typical p-bass values. Because when I used this pick-up a few years ago, I felt the unique cutted-off treble sound was solid.

I've been using a P-Bass with a Model P, 250K ohm pots, and a .047uF tone cap. for years. I use it, primarily, for Classic and Modern Rock, and I'm really happy with it.

Thank you for your good opinion. I will also wire with 250K and .047.uF. It's because I like little dark sound rather than bright sound.

I read this thread a couple of months when deciding what to do.

I had a P with normal 250k pots and 0.047 cap, to which I had added a Model P. I wasn't finding the tone control much use, it changed the character too much for me, it seemed to be fighting against the basic sound.

When changing from Fender 7250s to Pro Steels, I also changed the cap to 0.022. I'm really enjoying this combination of strings, pickup and cap, and find the tone knob much more useful, it leaves the bulk of the character in place.
