Ok.. I just received this bass brand new from Fretnation this friday. My reason for buying it was it had a maple fretboard and one of my other brand new Combustion’s had a Pau Ferro, which I prefer maple so I purchased to swap necks which has been done and man the consistency is amazing, just needed a small once over on setup and we are back in business! In all honesty, the PF looks WAY better on the Vintage Burst anyways but I guess it’s all subjective. The warranty on the bass is for original purchaser only so changing the necks is irrelevant as far as that goes. The bass balances perfectly and the neck is gorgeous, plastic still on the pups and it will come with the super nice Dingwall gig bag, 2 18 volt batteries and all factory shipping materials and it will be double boxed! This is a chance to own a killer Ding and save yourself over $500 and free shipping to boot. These are killer instruments for the money… no doubt. I also wanted you all to see how they look with and without the pick guard, again, your feelings on that may vary but it looks beautiful both ways.
