This is the second Combustion ever delivered, in the rare Candy Apple Green color we talked Sheldon into doing. I believe there were only 50 first-run Combustions produced in this color. Has the black hardware upgrade, about $225. Some of the frets were wonky when delivered so I had the frets professionally dressed and leveled. I really haven't played out with it much because I have 5 other Dingwalls from which to choose. There is a tiny chip in the clear coat on the front above and between the pickups, and one by the input jack. Comes with Dingwall gig bag, and B booster kit that I never installed. I have $1425 invested, asking $975 shipped to lower 48 states.

So, how come u never installed the B booster kit? Does this beauty suffer from the tiny sounding B string that first Combustions are infamous for? Is it difficult to install? I'm really interested on your bass!

I have a first run Combustion and while I didn't find the B string to be that bad I did install a booster kit. It took me longer to take the strings off & put back on again than adding the booster kit. Basically all they are is 2 small magnets you put over the B string pole on the Pick ups.

I will say I was surprised by the difference they made though. Well worth the 10 minutes & 10.00 it cost me.

Sweet, thanks! Do u need any special knowledge and/or tools or is it just a matter of unscrewing the pickup shell and put the two magnets on the pole?

Just saw this popup on my eBay Dingwall alert so if anyone is considering this, they tend to sell pretty quick on eBay, better act fast.

When I ordered my B-boost kit from Sheldon it came with a full colour instruction sheet. They were easy to follow (no special skills/tools required), the new B string sound was worth the time and cost.
