Hey people
I am 95% happy with the tone I get out of my current set up, but I'm looking for something that will add a little bit more sustain and a lot more bottom end, without losing too much of my beloved distortion pedal (which I have nailed when I can re-string!)
My current set up is:
Bass: ESP B-50
Picks: Jim Dunlop Tortex (Green)
Amp/Cab: Trace Elliot 2x15" cab, TE pre & poweramp
Effects: ProCo TurboRAT with Dist. and Gain settings @ 2o'clock, filter @ 10 o'clock.
I use the side of my pick between the bridge for the "grindier" sound and between both pick-ups for a bassier sound but have trouble keeping a bowel-moving feel to it.
I am toying with the idea of getting some extra EQ and/or a ODB-3 in addition to my Rat, but any help here would be awesome.
If you want to hear what it's like at the moment, check out Link Removed to get a feel of what I'm going for.
Thanks people!!
