Blackout Effectors Musket v2. Smooth (at easily attainable settings) with tons of gain. Probably more than you'd ever need. It's more-or-less a Muff with a pre-gain, mid control, and "focus" control. Beautiful-sounding pedal.

Distortion/Fuzz for Bass VI leads?

I've used the Iron Bell, Green Russian Muff, Fuzz Factory, Mongoose, Spitfire, and Top Gear on my Bass VI and I liked the Iron Bell the most. JohnK: Gonna build me a Demeter and test it out.
Awesome. I had a good feeling and someone happens to pop up and cement the idea!
As far as the walrus audio iron horse.. I tried it on bass and wasn't impressed at all. The gain was too light and it felt separate from my signal.
Which is a shame really because I have a WA Jupiter and I love it. Great buzzsaw fuzz with a ton of tonal options.
