Distortion Question

Anybody ever used a Mastortion pedal with bass? I have a chance to get one and have been wanting to add some distortion to my rig, but just wondering if anybody had used this brand and if so how it translates to low end. I don't normally use a 5-string so a low B wont be a factor. My main bass is a Geddy Lee Fender Jazz...Thanks

Do you mean a ZVex Mastotron? If so, it's a fuzz pedal, and darn good one too. If not, sorry, can't help.
