Behavior is more important than speech...because it shows how people really feel.

And that's why life isn't black and white to ANYONE, because we all modify our behavior based on the situation and the people involved.

I answered actions but it also depends on what the words are, who is saying them and what actions result from those words.. One person's words can be much more powerful than their individual actions when expressing ideas like the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Immunity for Telecoms, a little speech called "I Have a Dream", a President relaying to "Ask not what your country can do for you..", etc.. In those cases, words are much more powerful than actions IMO..

If I knew a young person that looked up to me as a role model, and I told them not to smoke right after they caught me smoking(I don't smoke, but pretend that I do), they are most likely gonna try smoking.

I'm gonna have to say that actions speak louder than words.

Most certainly makes a huge differance to me. I find as I get older, I'm able to "size" people up faster and faster, and get it 'right' most of the time.. I definitely watch more than I listen. Talk is cheap... talk is crap... Show me!

but speaking is an action, and as has been already mentioned; words can provoke deeds quite effectively.

Let me try:
