Do i have to replace both the pickups and the pots

i recent purchased a used Warwick Standard 5 and have some interest in replacing the pickups and was looking around online at some pickups and realized i didn't know if i had to replace both the pickups and the pots or if i could replace only the pickups... so do i have to also replace the pots... also if anyone has suggestions on pickups they are very much welcomed (j pickups)

You only need to change the pots if you are going from passive to active or vice versa.

the first question is exactly why do you want to replace the pickups? (it's not like warwicks come with cheap junk in them.)
