Do I need a speakercable?

I've got an EBS TD650. But I have no Cabinet.
So what I wanted to try was to run my EBS through my Trace Elliot combo. By using the EBS line out and TE Amp in. Do I need a speakercable for the line out/amp in thing. Or can I use a normal instrument cable?

You can use an instrument cable to go from line out to amp in.

Only need a speaker cable if it is after the power section (ie driving the cab).
