I have the Carvin Cyclops (1x15", 2x8") and it definitely booms, but it's more for someone with a 4 string.

Hartke has a 2x8, 1x15 I think. Ampeg also made a cab that was 2x10 with I think two 15's fitted in a clamshell design in a tilted baffle or something weird like that, hard to find though.
