Do you like this

I know someone else has done this. I think it was INCOGNITO, who showed everyone his new pickguard. I thought his looked real good. So good that I just knew that color would look good on my USA P-BASS SPECIAL. I'm gonna try and post before and after pics. :hyper: :bassist: Sorry folks, the old pickguard is the gold anodized one. The new one is the abalone blue shell. I left out this info originally. My bad.

Black pearloid on black is ALWAYS a rockin' look. I say go with it.

If you want another idea then consider this: keep the off white pg and find a jazz pup cover that's the same colour. Swap it for the current one and I think you might have a sweet looking bass. At some point I'm planning to do this with a Geddy Lee jazz. Black bass, white pg, black neck pup and a WHITE bridge pup. Maybe it's just me.

But don't let me put you off your idea, it will look great.

Cheers

i kinda like the vintage look of the gold ano
but who cares? do what makes you feel good
if anything that abalone will give your bass a unique character that represents you... I got a crapload of stickers on my 14 year old stratocaster and Ive thought of getting goo gone and taking them all off but you know what?? screw that I can pick it out of any lineup any day.. so do what you want to do
