Do you plan ahead?

Hi,

Right now I know I want to build a Warmoth J Bass. Later I know I want a Fodera Emperor 4 (dual coil pickups, special coil tapping, etc.). I don't know why I do this. I also know in a couple of years I want Sadwosky, Lakland w/ Dark Stars, a Fodera Monarch, a Status, etc. It gives me bad GAS, but I just do it (Nike! haha kinda pun quote...)

Thanks,

Roy

P.S. for coil tapping with dual coils, would it be possible to make to cancel the coils so it would be like a P-bass pickup was in there?

I think a bit like that too, rite now, I'm still a beginner with only six months bass playing (click the "I'm a alcoho..." in my signature for the story), but my thoughts are way ahead already.

When I feel that I really have a grasp, I would love to got a six string of some kind, and in a cpl of years when I am REALLY groovey and Jazzy, I'd love one of those Rob Allen acoustic things as well...

Apart from that, the two basses I have now (see profile) will do for now.

Cool idea. Anyone know about this?

Well, I'm putting my name on the list as soon as Wal begins production again, regardless of the cost.

I definitely want a Dingwall Prima Artist sometime in the next 10 years,

I'm gonna buy my second ever six string bass next month, and first 16.5mm spaced bass :p

I decided I'd buy a "parts bass" [Jazz] last December I think. I planned on late Spring or early Summer for my start date. Complications have led me to delay :bawl:

After looking at several companies, I've decided on a swamp ash chambered USACG Jazz 5er [BEADG] with Villex pups. Nitro black with a fretted Maple neck/fretboard. Hipshot ultralights, and a schaller 496 adjustable spacing bridge [15.8 - 17.5 mm spacing].

If that works well, six months later a USACG fretless is next. A nitro royal blue Alder [chambered] body 5er [EADGC] with a maple neck and ebony board.
