DOD Compressor 280?

Got it in the mail yesterday. I like it... well worth the price tag. It nicely subdues the clangs and pops and beefs up notes on the thinner strings. The two-knob setup made it quick and easy to dial in. There is slight bottom end loss, but I plan on it being "always on", so it's easy to compensate for.

This is my first compressor, so I may want to upgrade in the future, but for now, it's suits my needs just fine.

I bought one and just got a chance to play with it a bit last evening on a small practice amp. I'm hoping to get a better chance to mess with it at my gigs this weekend. Overall, I like it. It is very smooth and seems to be capable of quite a bit of squash. At lower compression settings there was a just a bit of bottom end loss, but it really sounded more like a "tightening" rather than an outright loss to me. I must agree with @MarshallLaw . I like it enough to make it an always on addition to my board. It's worth it, especially if you can still find it for $40! I bet it would slay on guitar too.
