I own a Washburn Status Series 1000 and I think it is a great bass; great playability, looks and tone for days. I used to own an XB925 and I thought it was a very nice bass but I was ultimately unsatisfied by the tone. I put together an XB400 from parts and I loved that bass until I sold it.
Thanks rjr225. If you keeps your eyes open, really good deals can be had on Washburns. I watched my XB928 sit in a guitar center for over a year before making them an offer of $200 less than the sticker. I was kinda amazed they agreed . . . but just goes to show it doesn't hurt to ask.
