Are you a lefty playing righty?
I have a big problem picking because of that reason. My non-dominant hand motion just isn't the same.
...For songs like Hysteria by Muse it would be a LOT easier using a pick...
Strange that Chris doesn't think so?Hmmm... I am a lefty playing righty, and that's probably why I don't get into picks.
I used to be a picker exclusively and I find that when you play only downstrokes because of the sound, your upstrokes need work. They should sound the same. Just saying.
I came to my senses about fingers recently and started learning that technique and it's AWESOME. Seriously, it's like the connection with your bass is much more direct than with a pick. I love it. For the first time I feel like a bassist instead of a guitarist who stumbled into the wrong instrument.
Again. Just saying.
I can play tighter-spaced basses (15-16mm) with a pick if I have to, but I wildly prefer fingers on a 19mm.
