I have a delay pedal that goes in the middle of my pedabloard. It's a Boss DD-7 and I use an expression pedal with it. The cord for the expression pedal has a straight plug on the end, which is a little awkward to fit between two pedals since the plug sticks out several inches to the side.

Does anyone make a right-angle adapter that I could put on the end of a straight jack to turn it into a right angle cable?

Don't worry about it, man- there isn't a person here who hasn't had a similar experience.

Not to mention all the times I guarantee all of us have had where we couldn't figure out why a pedal or a whole board wasn't working when we just had a cable that was supposed to be going into an input was going into an output, or a cable just wasn't pushed in far enough,

There are several angled TRS jacks available. Lucky you.
Try finding the right MIDI jacks with the angle towards the right side in the right length...

They're pricey compared to pre-made cables, but BTPA makes MIDI cables with rotatable heads:

Sure they do- you just get a TRS to TRS one.
