Right now I have a 4-10 and a 2-15, but I was curious if anyone uses 2-15 cabinets together, and how that would sound. Anyone have pictures or advice?

Does anyone use 2 15" cabinets?

I've always used 2-2x15 cabs. Not so much lately due to the smaller venues I'm frequenting. But that was and is my choice when the room can handle it. Moves alot of air. Not recommended for slap and pop playing but for huge fundamentals? Can't be beat.
my favourite! for bigger venues cant be beat! ( even for smaller places, P bass and 2x15' are my favourites )
Love 2x15s... I use 2 Accugroove tri-15's. I hate 10 inch speakers! I have never heard a 10 that can truly produce a low B. Epifani, Eden, even tried an accugroove 1x12. The only thing I can find to actually make a low B sound good is a 15. Maybe if I had 2 8x10s and ran low vol, but I'll take the thump of a pair of 15s any day!
I had a trace elliot 2x15. I loved that cab but since it was my only cab I was finding it heavy and inappropriate for the small jazz gigs I started doing. I've sold it but miss it.
Instead I purchased a GK 4x10 (sbx). I loved the tone but I missed the air being moved behind me. So purchased a second cab a 2x10. Much better but I miss the tone of a 15 so I have one on the way.

2 2-15"s or two 15"s as in two 1-15" cab. I have played through 2 1-15" cabs...sounds fat. Good for bass heavy music like Dub or Reggae. You have to think back in the day. Most bassists used only 15's. A lot of those bassists had multiple cabs behind them. My guess is it would give a very deep 70's style tone...think Sabbath. I think they used 15's exclusively.

I was thinking about this earlier. I have a Mesa powerhouse 1x15 and would love to get a second one to pair up with it...and, lay my 4ohm 6x10 across the top of the 2 1x15's...and fire them up with my GB 1200 at 2 ohms...just to see if I can loosen anyones fillings...That would definately be a rig of doom...
ive done, 10's,12's,15's, and 18's and Im back using an old peavey 215, just cant get the same feel from a 410 or 810. And my band is only a three peice so I have to carry alot of low end to fill out our sond.
I'm using a carvin 1523 upgraded with eminence 3015LF drivers.

two of them would be great, - they are not heavy cabs either.
Loads of bassists seemed to use 215's in the 70's (and into the 80's)....and still got edge to their tone (Geddy Lee for instance).
Not sure why they fell out of favor.

by the same token, ive never played a 2x15 that any sort of upper mid-high range.
my 4x10 has more then enough lows and takes care of everything else.
now, i wouldnt be object to adding a 2x15, but not as a stand alone.
For those who asked i meant two individual cabinets with one 15" speaker each. The only reason I ask is because I bought a Ampeg svt115e and I just thought it would be cool to have another on top since I stick to the lows and avoid slapping and popping. I have always been told you needed 10" speakers to get better note definition, and I didnt know if 2-15" speakers would be practical. Good to hear how many people actually do this.
Well then, I have been using two 1x15's for the past month or so. Two seems to give adequate volume and sound bigger than a single 15. Having separate cabinets makes them easier to move in and out of cars, up stairs, etc. I am happier than ever...so happy in fact that my NV610 hasn't moved since I got these cabs. Pic.

I have a Sunn 215B. The previous TB'er replaced the original speakers with Eminence's. With the SVT, it's probably my best sounding rock rig. But since my gear is stored at the bottom of the stairs, it doesn't get out too much. (Seeing those Orange 1x15's makes me think a change may be a comin' soon).....

I used to use an SVT with two Alembic cabinets each containing a JBL K 140 and K 145... and my trusty P bass...
i have opted for this set-up as well, and i like it. svt-cl through 2 1x15 cabs - mesa powerhouse and ampeg svt115e. clears up bandwidth for guitars, living in the subby low end. i dig it.
I currently use a Mesa Diesel RoadReady 215 - it certainly does not lack any mids, probably has more than my SWR Goliath 410. These are great value second hand buys (if you can find one).
