Double Bass Does anyone use the Nanny Method Books and do you have notes to approach the method

I know you all seen me post other things?

I have a student whpo came to me with the Nanny Method?

I have used it with a former teacher of Mine, and still have my set. I was wondering of anyone has improtants notes that deals with the double bass method, as it is geared to the solo bassist approach to the bass.

I seen some minor type O's it, and fixed them.

Just need to know any important notes that you would have that I can use in working with my student with it.

What is the basis of your assertion that the Nanny method is geared toward solo playing? I have one of the books assigned to me long ago by my teacher that is mostly scales and intervals. Very thorough, very boring, and some fingering needs to be "modernized". Other than that, notes is notes.

I was taught with Nanny and I think it served me well for at least 20 years.

try book 1 of nanny first then supplement it with book 2, then it makes since more and nore.

and you are right about modern fingering which i do, even starting to try the 4 finger approach in thumb position.
