don't you just hate...

...people that can turn every word you say into something bad to be used against you? Whether or not you meant it for good? f***in annoying, especially when they do it in front of a whole lotta people, not to mention some attractive girls who don't even know you yet? Frick, first impressions are important, and doing that to someone just ain't right, especially in front of good lookin girls who don't even have an impression yet...

Me? = looking like a biggoted jack@$$ now because of an incident like that. Pisses me off.

That does stink. And it happens on here too at times by the same little group of baiters.

i'll do it sometimes :D

If one of my friends or someone says something to me, then we're talking to someone else and says the exact opposite of what they told me, i'll call them out on it. why not, i don't like hypocrits. i don't do it on a normal basis though.

Amen, I have a 'friend' who makes it a point to ruin everybody's day by doing that. I swear someone is going to smack him soon. (probably me)

No. But I've seen many people do this and it's stupid and immature. The reason it doesn't bother me is that it's a behavior that's easy to turn around and make backfire against the offender very easily once you've seen it a few times.

Understand that this is typical of a whole class of behaviors that some people use to make themselves feel good by causing others to feel bad by pushing their emotional buttons. Fortunately, the only way this can work is if you allow yourself to go along with it by reacting negatively to the provocation. There are many ways of reacting to such behavior that will not give that person the satisfaction of causing emotional discomfort in others, but the one way that always works is to not respond to what they say but to simply stare at the offending oaf with the same sort of detached contempt you would normally reserve for a weed you found growing up through a crack in your driveway. (Like this: :hmm:)

Practice doing this; it really works to shut up even the most obnoxious jerks. ;)
