These magazines are an absolute treasure. I have kept them in great condition and return to them all the time for reference. I assume you all know what they are but since they stopped publishing them in 2007 there may be those who don't. Double Bassist magazine was a beautiful, high-quality magazine covering all aspects of the double bass from players to instruments to scores and exercises. My favorite feature was the instrument section where old double basses of pedigree were researched and photographed in hi-res color photos. Now looking back I find a lot of insights into the cellos suites and other popular scores and excerpts we bassist face. It seems like every time I return to them I find something new, no matter how many times. I learned so much about instrument building and history from these pages.
